MDAA Fall Workshop 2025
October 17 - 20
Billings, MT

Please read through the workshop information, and
then see below for instructions on how to register for classes.

We are thrilled to head just a little South, and just a little East, to hold our Fall Workshop in Billings! We could not be more thankful that workshop directors Julia Marble Blass and Leigh Schanfein have a fabulous line-up of instructors ready to energize, inspire, and fuel our dance spirits! As always, the weekend includes daily classes for all levels in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and modern. On top of that, enhance your dance training by attending the specialty classes! The specialty classes will include: introduction to Latin Dance, Introduction to Bran Dance for Instructors and Studio Owners, Introduction to Contact Improvisation, and *** . See below for a downloadable Specialty Class Descriptions file.

MDAA has secured blocks at local hotels, several within walking distance of the studio spaces. See the hotel information file to download below and plan to book your rooms early!

The highlight of every Fall Workshop is the Student Showcase! Studios are invited to share pieces from their school’s repertoire. Come cheer on your fellow Montana dancers. This is a fun-for-all evening, you won’t want to miss it. Teachers, please see the Showcase Form link below.

Student Choreographers, don’t miss the chance to have your work adjudicated by our guest faculty. See below and download forms for the rules, information, and applying for the Donna Jewell Choreography Prize.

MDAA hoodies and stickers will be available for purchase on a first come-first served basis. They will be available at the Registration Table along with tickets to our annual raffle!
